Cruelty-free

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty has been a cruelty-free brand since day one, and our commitment remains unchanged as we continue to develop innovative beauty products . We do not and have never tested our products or ingredients on animals, nor do we ask or commission others to do so on our behalf. We have robust processes in place to verify compliance with our strict no animal testing standards throughout our supply chain, and we continuously monitor regulatory developments to ensure they remain aligned with our cruelty-free commitments before making any decisions about product availability in any market.

We do not sell products in markets where animal testing is required by law. In China, regulations allow imported cosmetics to be sold without animal testing where specific criteria are met, and Charlotte Tilbury products sold in China meet these requirements. We do not sell special-use cosmetics, such as our SPF products, in China because these products remain subject to animal testing requirements under local regulations. Any products we do produce in China, for example make up bags and brushes, are not tested on animals and are not subject to animal testing regulations.

Cruelty Free International has retired the Leaping Bunny logo in the UK and is introducing a new accreditation identity. As this new identity will not be available consistently across all the markets in which we operate, we have chosen not to adopt the new logo.

This decision relates solely to the use of the logo and does not reflect any change to our standards or policies. We continue to uphold the same stringent no animal testing standards, fully comply with UK and EU no animal testing regulatory requirements and apply this to our products globally. Our commitment to being cruelty-free remains exactly the same.

Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes, all Charlotte Tilbury Beauty products are cruelty-free, and have been since day one. We do not test our finished products or ingredients on animals, and we never ask anyone to test on our behalf.
Do your suppliers or third parties test on animals?
No. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that the ingredients used in our products are not tested on animals. We also do not permit any third parties to carry out animal testing on our behalf.
Do you sell your products in markets where animal testing is required?
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty is committed to ensuring our products remain cruelty-free wherever they are sold. China updated its regulations in 2021 to allow imported cosmetics to be sold without pre-market animal testing, provided specific criteria are met. All Charlotte Tilbury products meet these requirements, which allows us to maintain our cruelty-free standards globally.
